Our Roll Up Door Model 501 has set the standard for economical and durable self-storage continuous sheet roll-up doors. When combined with our newest “Ratcheting Tension Adjuster” the Model 501 becomes the simplest door to maintain, providing a long and useful working life.
Manufactured from the same 26 gauge corrugated hot-dipped galvanized steel as the rest of our doors. Available in the same 22 pre-finished polyester paint finishes the Model 501 has the same proven quality and durability as our entire line of rolling steel doors which allows for mounting to wood, masonry, or steel jambs. With sizes as large as 10’ (3048 mm) wide by 10’ (3048 mm) high and able to meet wind-loads of up to 28 p.s.f. the Model 501 is extremely versatile, adding to it’s value.
All Our Doors include: Continuous curtain of 26 gauge hot dipped galvanized steel.
Primer under-coat plus top coat of medium gloss, silconized polyester paint in a choice of 22 standard colors.
Polypropylene wear strips on edges of curtain reduce noise and prevent steel to steel contact between curtain & guide.
Heavy duty 1 5/16” diameter axle shaft.
Aluminum bottom bar, reinforced with a structural steel angle, includes a bulb type bottom weather seal.

501 - A. Counterbalance
Helical torsion spring (3.375” ID) is factory calibrated and lubricated to ensure trouble-
free performance and unparalleled cycle life.
Superior engineering means greatly reducing
spring maintenance along with faster and easier
installation.
501 - B. Drum/Locating Collars
In order to meet the tough demands of self
storage, the 9.5” diameter 18-gauge drums
are furnished with locating collars and are
permanently welded to the drive axle. This also
makes installation faster while providing a positive
location for the mounting brackets and guides.
501 - C. Shaft
The heavy duty 1-5/16” (1.3125”) OD 12-gauge axle
pipe provides maximum strength and durability.
